James is a restructuring and insolvency specialist; his expertise includes advising companies, directors and creditors of their options in a wide range of insolvency situations.

Specialist expertise

James is a director in the London team, predominantly dealing with individuals and small to medium-sized enterprises from a wide range of sectors. These have included hospitality and leisure, retail, automotive as well as general business services. With eight years of experience in dealing with a variety of insolvency assignments, both corporate and personal, James is able to successfully advise companies, directors and creditors of their options. 

James is largely involved in the early stages of assignments, providing advice and strategy to directors and various stakeholders and is the main point of contact throughout. Over the years, he has undertaken numerous advisory and restructuring assignments across a variety of industries and levels of distress.

About James

James holds both the Certificate in Proficiency in Insolvency qualification and the Joint Insolvency Examination Board qualification. He is also a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association. Prior to joining Quantuma in 2013, James started his career at a mid-tier accountancy firm where he dealt with personal insolvency assignments including bankruptcies and individual voluntary arrangements. Outside of work, James is an avid cricketer and supporter of Surrey CC. He also supports Arsenal FC and attends games whenever he can.
