Business advisory firm Quantuma is expanding its presence in the South with the appointment of new partner Elias Paourou to its Brighton office.

With a wealth of industry experience spanning almost 30 years, Elias joins Quantuma from a partner position at CVR Global, prior to which he spent five years at a mid-tier London firm and eight years at a top 20 firm.

Specialising in business rescue which often results in the preservation of businesses and their staff, Elias has notable experience in the healthcare sector and also advising individuals on personal insolvency matters.

He has successfully dealt with a diverse number of shareholder disputes and insolvency processes, including the appointment as liquidator of a chain of bakeries, administrator of a Spanish stone importer and liquidator of a dating app provider.

Based in the company’s Brighton office, Elias will work alongside restructuring partners Maxine Reid and Sean Bucknall, predominantly advising distressed owner-managed businesses.

Quantuma is a business advisory firm headquartered in London. The firm has grown its advisory service portfolio in recent years, which includes corporate finance, forensic accountancy and litigation support services in addition to restructuring.

Elias Paourou said: “Quantuma has been on my radar for some time now as an extremely dynamic practice that is progressing rapidly and pushing the boundaries of traditional professional services. I am looking forward to being part of the firm as it grows its presence in the South of England.”

Carl Jackson, managing partner at Quantuma, said: “Elias has a track record of delivering great outcomes for distressed businesses and their stakeholders. He demonstrates a pragmatic approach to his work which really complements our way of working. This, coupled with his extensive industry experience, makes him an excellent addition to the Quantuma team.”
